Corals Genus of the Family Caryophylliidae.

The family Caryophylliidae contains many of the most popular of all coral species for captive care in reef aquariums. Corals of the Euphyllia genus include such perrenial favorites as the "hammer coral" (Euphyllia Ancora), the "frogspawn coral" (Euphyllia Divisa) and the "torch coral" (Euphyllia Glabrescens). Many of the corals in this family exhibit a cone-shaped skeleton with long, plush polyps that stay extended day or night.
