Coral Genus of the Family Meandrinidae.

Although rare to the reef aquarium hobby, corals of the family Meandrinidae are actually quite common in the reefs of the Atlantic ocean. Perhaps most impressive among all corals in this family is the Pillar Coral (Dendrogyra Cylindrus), which grows into enormous towers in the reef-- an attribute making them unsuitable for captive care.
