Coral Genus of the Family Trachyphylliidae.

Trachyphylliidae are a very popular family of corals for captive care in reef aquariums, particularly the 'Open Brain Coral' (Trachyphyllia Geoffroyi) which is a perrenial favorite for placement in reef tank substrates. These corals can often be found in flourescent colors of green and red, and have an alien appearance that can generate a lot of attention from on-lookers.
