Pavona Coral Species.

Like all other genus of the coral family Agariciidae, Pavonas have thin nearly invisible polyps. Pavona corals range in morphology from leafy, fragile species to very distinctive star-like patterns as found in the 'Encrusting Star Coral' (Pavona Explanulata), a rare and beautiful variation. Pavona corals are very hardy and excellent early additions to an SPS reef tank.

Coral species of the Genus Pavona include:

> Pavona Cactus > Pavona Clavus
> Pavona Decussata > Pavona Explanulata
> Pavona Frondifera > Pavona Praetorta
> Pavona Speciosa > Pavona Varians
