The corals of the genus Tubastraea are favorites of nature
photographers and for reef tank hobbyists worldwide. Commonly called the
'Orange Cup Coral' or 'Sun Coral' (Tubastraea
Faulkneri), these corals tend to be covered with bright orange soft
tissue (although color variations are known to include white and even
black). Because these corals produce no zooxanthellae, these corals must
be regularly fed in order to survive in captivity.
