Acanthastrea Coral Species.

One of the many corals commonly referred to as 'Pineapple Coral' (Acanthastrea Echinata) this species may be more common to reef tanks than previously believed, due largely to misidentifications confusing it with corals of the family Faviidae. These corals prefer slower flow and moderate lighting in order to be kept successfully in a reef aquarium.
