Blastomussa Coral Species.

Corals of the genus Blastomussa have become very popular with reef tank hobbyists due to their unusual appearance and wide range of vibrant colors available. Polyps are very fleshy and typically obscure any view of the skeleton beneath, often making these corals resemble mushroom anenomes. Some Blastomussa polyps, such as those found on Blastomussa Wellsi, can reach a diameter of 5 inches. These corals prefer moderate flow and moderate to low lighting, as they are often found in deep or protected waters.
