Alveopora Coral Species.

Alveopora are closely related to another coral genus, Goniopora. Neither genus contains any coral known for a high rate of long-term success in captive care, although Alveopora corals can often claim a small edge in reputation. Differentiated by having 12 tentacles on their polyps rather than 24 as found in Gonioporas, Alveopora specimens seem to do best in medium lighting and low to moderate water flow. Often, these corals are not kept in SPS dominated reef tanks because they come from water more rich in nutrients than the ultra-clean waters of a properly kept SPS reef tank.

Coral species of the Genus Alveopora include:

> Alveopora Allingi > Alveopora Catalai > Alveopora Fenestrata
