The bushy coral morphology contains one of the most prized species of
most advanced reef aquarium hobbyists, the blue Acropora
Tortuosa (commonly called the Blue Tort). Although now more available,
the Blue Tort still demands a high price. Bushy corals are called so due
to an apparently random array of branches originiating at a central point.
The morphology of bushy corals can be an asset when aquascaping, as their
growth patterns do tend to be somewhat more predictable than some other
morphs.
